Introduction to Alumni

The Modern College of Commerce and Computer studies (MCCCS) has taken responsibility towards Stakeholders because the Alumni are an important stakeholder; they are valuable assets of our College.The former students of the college, who had either attended or graduated from some faculty of the college are known as the alumni of the college. Alumni can help the current students and the college by fundraising, mentoring, providing scholarships and pay gratitude towards college by allocating their time and valuable suggestions. Alumni associations can provide other alumni with career resources. Alumni contribute through their knowledge of finer points of college, university and world’s current requirements from the next generations. The college and its students need the guidance from the alumni for their long-term vision and growth. Alumni help college and students to sustain pursuit of excellence over a long time-horizon through their nurturing.

College relies on alumni to provide mentoring, internships, and career opportunities to students and fundraising. Alumni perform the role of eyes, ears, and voice of the college as ambassadors and connectors. Contribution of resources to campus life with advice and counsel are done by the alumni. Alumni will attract students to the college and strengthen the career services efforts. Formation of alumni association evolved from the needs of both the ends, i.e. academicians and professionals. It targets the bridge building between college life and career life.This helps the fresher graduates to be proactive to face the current challenges of the competitive professional world and the professionals are supplied with the skilled and well trained new employees. Both the ends work hand in hand to help each other to achieve the goal.Alumni can play an active role in voluntary programs like mentoring students in their areas of expertise. They also play a significant role in contributing scholarships to deserving students. Alumni get in touch with students and share their expertise and best practices in a given field.

The alumni association of MCCCS is named as “MCCCS Alumni Association” It is being registered under Public Trust and Societies Act on 29th May 2023, registration no. Pune/0000591/2023 in the presence of Principal Prof. Dr. Sadashiv L. Shiragave, Coordinator Dr. Prasanna Chavan, and many enthusiastic former students of the college.

Alumni are great role models for current students and are often well placed to offer practical support to students as they start their careers. Alumni are often in the position to engage the expertise of the institution in their professional lives. Your alumni are your international ambassadors.

Objective of Alumni

1. To encourage and promote close relationships between College and Alumni.
2. To promote and encourage friendly relations between all the members of the alumni body, an interest in the affairs and well being of the College to provide information regarding their Alma matters, graduate, faculties and students, to the alumni.
3. To initiate and develop the program for the benefits of alumni.
4. To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their courses to obtain employment and engage in productive pursuit useful to society.
5. To collect, publish and distribute such information may be useful to the alumni.
6. Provide a platform for alumni through Alumni Meet for enriching current study with business contacts.
7. Assist the placement cell of the college for conducting soft skill development personality development, workshops and campus interviews.
